Wrapping Tamariki in Warmth: Our 2025 Pyjama Drive

As the colder months begin to settle across Taranaki, many of us are reaching for extra layers, switching on heaters, and making our homes as cozy as possible. But for some whānau in our community, these comforts are out of reach. Cold, damp homes are a reality and sadly, it’s often our tamariki and rangatahi who feel the effects the most.

Every winter, we see how the lack of warm sleepwear can lead to restless nights, illness, and missed days at kura. When a child is cold, they’re more vulnerable to getting sick, less likely to sleep well, and can fall behind in school. It’s a small thing — but something as simple as a warm pair of pyjamas can make a world of difference.

That’s why we’re proud to launch our 2025 Pyjama Drive, a community led effort to collect and distribute as many new or good-quality second-hand pyjamas and dressing gowns as possible to the whānau who need them most.

What we’re collecting:

We’re looking for:

  • Girls and boys pyjama’s, sizes 0-16
  • Warm dressing gowns
  • All items can be brand new or second hand in good, clean condition

These donations will go directly to tamariki across Taranaki, wrapping the in warmth, care and aroha.

Where do donate:

Together, we can make a difference

We believe in the power of community. When we come together with compassion and generosity, we can create real change, one pair of pyjama’s at a time.

Help us hare the warmth this winter. Donate, share, or imply help us spread the word. Let’s make sure no child in Taranaki goes to be cold.

Ngā mihi nui for your support 💙
